In addition to creating Brad Advice, Brandt has written and performed in three plays: Killer Therapy (FringeNYC at The Players Theatre), Just Sex (Theatre for the New City) and Give and Go: Learning from Losing to the Harlem Globetrotters (FringeNYC and Metropolitan Playhouse). The New York Times praised Just Sex for its “sharp writing,” while nytheater.com applauded Give and Go for its “tightly defined … collection of hilarious philosophers.”

Brandt’s other acting credits include Walt Disney’s Broadway workshop of Hoopz, directed by Savion Glover and Kenny Leon; the Off-Broadway production of The Pitchfork Disney (Blue Light Theater Co.); Endless Air, Endless Water at Center Stage, opposite Chris Messina; and the workshop of Joe Fearless with Matthew Broderick and Rosie Perez.

Brandt formerly worked as an investment banker, played professional basketball in Europe, and played on tour against the Harlem Globetrotters. He is a Williams College graduate and has an MBA from New York University. He also runs Syntaxis, a communication skills training firm, with his wife, Ellen Jovin.
